The Cabot

This model is based on instruments from the late nineteenth century. Referred to as a ‘Parlour guitar’, it measures a mere 12ins (305mm) across the lower bout of the body. This was the largest size available in those far off days! It also has a 12 fret neck to body join, and a shorter scale length, and wider string spacing at the bridge for lower tension, relaxed, spacious finger style playing (whilst sat on an armchair in front of the television!)

Cabot Mahogany Traditional

This example with a custom finish has a solid Sitka Spruce soundboard with solid Mahogany back, sides and neck. It is bound in cream plastic on the front edge only prior to staining and finishing in matt lacquer. The neck to body join is in the integral Spanish style enabling the heel of the neck to be dressed away for comfort.
